In December each year we return to the University of Brighton to listen to a new batch of university students. The Tiger’s Pen listens to Business Management BSc (Hons) and International Business Management BSc (Hons) students who will pitch their ideas to a panel of judges with The Tiger’s Pen.
We’re also looking to work with other Universities and Colleges across Sussex who have business schools and entrepreneur opportunities for our investors and business friends to come in and do talks to students.
Panel judges for December 2024:
Aiden Dunning, Cripps
Claire Griffiths, Thrtive in Business
Rachael Dines, Shake it up Creative
Kyriakos Baxivanos, Nostos Hove
Tanya Petherick, One Club
Sonny Cutting, Network Xpress
We would like to thank the following panel judges above for giving us their time to collaborate with us.

The Tiger’s Pen has been set up for start-ups to pitch for investment, mentoring, and access to the wild card prize for ‘best pitch’ prizes at the Sussex Business Show, the premier business tradeshow in the County.
As a company, we work in partnership with local Universities and Colleges.
Sonny was made an Enterprise Ambassador at the University of Brighton. So, we do offer free resources on the website by way of Presentation Training, Handling Questions and Pitching Support. Students do not get to pitch to investors in The Tiger’s Pen, this is a resource for Ltd start up companies only. We do however offer free podcasts and video on the site to help entrepreneurs get started in business if required.
Sonny works with a multitude of businesses across Sussex, and his time is in high demand, he not only created The Tiger’s Pen, he is also the Events Director of the Sussex Business Show and Founder of The Director’s Hub.
